Do you know why narrow-minded white people ask “why does everyone care about some dead black kid?” Because to them they’re disposable; pawns in a violent crime numbers game. Because out of all the people fighting in the streets in the video footage of Derrion Albert’s death, Derrion was the only one doing what he was supposed to be doing; going home from school.

So how else are people like her supposed to know the black honors students exist when videos like this one in Chicago and the hospital brawl in Brooklyn are all over the internet? How are they supposed to know that all black people aren’t criminals when that’s all they see?

I really don’t have any answers other than something needs to be done. Only a truly ignorant person could assume that we shouldn’t care about the death of a young black man because they’re all gang members. But ignorant people can only act as such if they don’t know the truth.

Chick Flicks

I hate chick flicks.

I’m too synical for their fairy tale story lines.

Very rarely do they depict the reality that most women aren’t going to live that happy ending. The majority of us will either be alone or divorced. So what’s the point in watching? To be a naive female? I’d rather not watch a movie full of fantasy and let those ideas flood my head and have me thinking the same thing is going to happen to me and every other female in the world.

Real Talk S.2 Ep.1

I got this idea from the Real Housewives of Atlanta. In short Kandi is marrying a guy that has 6 kids, 4 baby mamas, and no real career but lots of money apparently.

I’m going to keep thos general and not pass down judgements because you never know.

1. If he has kids from 4 other women, what is it about you that you think he’s not going to leave you behind like he left the other 4? After 2 kids with 2 of the women and a relationship with at least one, why wasn’t it enough to stay and hold a family together. There are plenty of no-good men who are great fathers. Just because he’s a good “dad” doesn’t mean he’ll be a good husband. So using his fathering skills is really no indication of how he’ll treat you. Ask those 4 women how he manages his relationships with women.
2. MAMA KNOWS! Your mother knows when something isn’t right. Her first priority is you and if she doesn’t feel safe in your relationship with someone else, you really need to evaluate what’s going on. If she’s a good mother she won’t be blinded by the fact that you’re single and haven’t been married. She’s worried about you and your well-being
3. If someone asks you what he does for a living and you can’t give a direct answer or say “he does a couple things here and there” something is wrong. (Legal) Side jobs don’t give anyone enough money to raise 6 kids and live lavishly. And if he can’t come out and tell you exactly what he does, it’s time to worry. Part of a marriage is the financial situation. In fact most marriages end over money so if you don’t know where his income is coming from it puts an automatic strain on your relationship. And don’t get it twisted…rich people get divorced too. And if his business is “illegal” or suspicious, that’s your ass too.
4. Get married and going through a tough divorce is worse than being single.

Lessons: Orphan

This bitch wanted a kid so bad after her previous child died. Which there’s nothing wrong with it. But in the end, she lost her husband, the child she adopted, her son is probably brain dead, and her daughter is scarred for life. All because she was hell bent on filling the void for the child she lost.
